Get Yourself a Mentor
One of the most essential assets you can and will have in entrepreneurship is someone who can teach you valuable lessons: a mentor. This should be someone you know who has been in the business for a long time already, and has already achieved success in their realm. Maybe you aspire to be what they are, too. Don’t beat around the bush. Ask them flat-out if they’d like to help you out. Tell them that you look up to them and have always thought a lot of them and you think they are the best person for the job. Flattery almost always works, and chances are they will say absolutely. From there, it has to do with listening, learning, and being humble. If you’re not humble enough to listen to the lessons that they are giving you, then you won’t actually learn anything.
