US Faces Ongoing Cyber Espionage
Posted by aonenetworks On February 13, 2013Per a recently released national security document, the US is under cyber-attack, and has been for several years now.
The document says that allegedly, China is the number one cyberthreat in the National Intelligence estimates. According to the Washington Post, China has been hitting the US boundaries hard to steal business data that could potentially help the country rise in the rankings economically.
In the past five years, China has been focusing many of their efforts in the areas of technology and aerospace. This has only intensified the charged battle between the US and China, though neither side will admit to targeting the other.
However, China isn’t the only country trying to access business data. Russia, Israel, and France also all have cyber-espionage campaigns aimed other countries, including the US and each other. The attacks from China are simply more frequent.
A full report on the kind of threat China poses has been requested by the White House and should be available in the upcoming months. For now, make sure your business is well-protected, your data is backed up, and that you’re prepared for the worst-case scenario.
