Making Your Workplace an Inspiring Place to Work
Posted by aonenetworks On February 8, 2013You’re a leader, and you’re new at it too (everyone needs to start somewhere). So when your workplace begins to feel like a dungeon, you’re not sure what the first step to take is. Do you need to give everyone a present? Do you need to have more huddles? The fact is that it is different for every business, but that doesn’t mean you can’t start bringing certain things to the workplace that can bring everyone back to life and drag them out of the fog. Check out the tips below.
Let Them Be Creative
It can be difficult to let employees work without you, but in all honestly, you need to let them bloom into the creative people you know they are. Sometimes they don’t appreciate being stood over while they think about all of the things they need to do today. You must foster creative thinking by giving your employees the time and the room to thrive and think on their own. You’ll probably start to see some amazing changes in just a few weeks.
Lift Their Spirits
It’s true that many small companies don’t have the kind of cash to just hand out bonuses when someone does a good job, but that doesn’t mean you can’t spend ten or fifteen dollars on something amazing for an employee of the month. It doesn’t matter if your rewards or physical or not, but you need to find a way to lift the spirits of those who work in your office instead of making them dread coming to work. A good pat on the back and some happy words can make a huge difference.
